I can't believe I forgot this for Friday
Oct. 17th, 2002 05:10 pmBenefit for Nan Garrett at the IAG. The IAG is always a good, freaky place. Here's what I have on that:
It's official... we have the International Artist Guild in Atlanta reserved for Friday Oct. 18. The bands we have confirmed as of now are funk band Fambooey, hip hop group Ishues and my band, (buk'it), a melodic rock band featuring Steve Pavon on guitar and Jason Grizzard on bass (both formerly of Atlanta heavy band Estranged), and Adrian Ash on drums (most recently with avant-classical band Bach on a Hook).
I've invited heavy band Hognutt and raggae band Jikki and the Stonefish Posse to join the bill, but haven't heard back from either one of them. I'm fine with going with just three bands, since I'd like to show one or two short films from GNN.tv at the event if I can arrange for the use of a digital projector. Also, between bands we'll have a short speech from Nan Garrett, and possibly from Georgia Green Party chair Badili Jones
The IAG is at 450 Memorial, about a mile east of Lennie's
Take I-20 to Moreland Avenue, North one block then left on Memorial, go 0.6 miles and look for IAG sign on your left. From Little 5 Points, go South on Moreland then right on Memorial.
