Conservative groups are hoping to rally support for Supreme Court nominee Samuel A. Alito Jr. with ads depicting him as a supporter of public Christmas displays.

Ah, the poor persecuted evangelists. Good think they have Saint Alito to defend them.

I just saved $300 on my car insurance ... just by calling my insurer and whining that I wanted a lower rate

For those of you who don't do this, whenever your policy is up, call and try to get a cheaper rate. Most of the time that works for me, though this was more than I expected. If you don't call, they feel no obligation to decrease what they're charging you.
