From Shoe Vixen

A friend a mine who had been a Mormon missionary came across this
"guide," circa 1970, on tattered photocopy. In fact, the pages
were stuck together.

Anyway, we were so amused by it (esp. "Suggestion 19"), I thought
it deserved a wider audience.

Kind of surprised by the lack of interest people had in 9-11 this year. Lots of media hype from places like CNN and ABC, still desperate to exploit it for ratings. Real people seemed to have little interest, however. For instance, at my gym, which involves a mix of people on the right, left and middle, there is usually a lot of political talk, but this time it was mostly football. No 9-11 talk. Ran some errands and stopped into a number public places to drop off fliers. People were talking about food, sex and religion, but nary a word about 9-11. Went to the Clermont, talked to lots of folk, and it never came up in conversation.

Even on LJ, most people had nothing to say about the events five years ago, except for some “Where I was then” posts and criticism of the GOP for reveling in the fear it has generated and the gullible people it took advantage of. The vast majority of posts had nothing to do with it.

Interesting to see how little it arouses people anymore. Bodes poorly for the GOP in November. Of course, what bodes well for the GOP is that it still doesn’t have a real opposition party.

Anyway, here are a few interesting looks at 9-11:
