Some apologies to Mr. Bill
Mar. 22nd, 2007 08:50 pmSo it seems Windows was not the only problem with my machine. All the problems with booting apparently had to do with ... my video card. That's right. Just replaced the video card, and now both the old hard drive and new are working fine.
The funniest part of this? My machine is now running with a Matrox Millennium G200 - from 1997. An 8 meg card. Listen kiddies, I remember when that was cutting edge, and we were all excited about getting to design games that could take advantage of that powerful a video card :-)
