And Obama's rush to the right continues

... "a careful, well thought-out drilling strategy that was carefully circumscribed to avoid significant environmental damage ..."
That less significant damage is fine with Obama. Yeah, we'll just increase all that insignificant environmental damage that offshore drilling has done so far - destroying barrier reefs, helping drive threatened species to the brink of extinction with every spill and leak, continuing to have huge leaks during hurricanes ... and all with only the most limited impact on our energy reserves, and with no impact at all for years (except to distract resources away from conservation and alternative energies). And, of course, once they get the right to open new drilling areas, it's next to impossible to close that up even when more damage begins.
