More of the Same
Mar. 14th, 2002 01:00 pmTwo things I meant to mention in the last post:
I have two friends from Memphis coming into town for the weekend, so if people can think of things to do to them I mean, places to take them let me know. Currently thinking about Lennys for American Dream and the Chamber for the Star Wars fetish fun. Star Wars and Sodomy? The Force and the Fetish?
Secondly, Ill be flying out to Vegas Monday for the GAMA convention and wont be back until Friday night. If you need to get in touch with me, leave a message at the office. Ill check in here as often as I can.
Spent most of the day working on that short story and character from yesterday. Finished up the character. Should finish the short story tomorrow. A fair amount more work with Take Two as well. And then there was all the office administrative work finishing up our corporate minutes from last year and filing them with our lawyer, meeting with my partners, etc., etc.
Began contacting bands for the Democracy Rising event. Well see whos interested in playing the Civic Center.
Also sent Barbara a list of places that might be willing to sell tickets to her event. Heres the list I came up with. If anyone has other ideas, let me know:
Book Stores:
A Capella
Outwrite
Charis
Book Nook
Phoenix and Dragon
Tall Tales (if it's still around -- heard a rumor it was closing)
Mystery and Science Fiction Bookstore (same problem as Tall Tales)
Borders and Tower -- I have no idea how good they might be
Groceries:
Sevananda
Whole Foods
The International Farmers Market
Health Unlimited
Good Earth
Life Grocery
Mother Nature
Music Stores:
Fantasyland
Wuxtry
Earwax
Wax and Facts
Eat More Records
Criminal Records
Clubs, Restaurants and the Like (most of these are open through the day and night)
Apache Cafe
Gravity Pub
Red Light Cafe
My Sister's Room
Innovox
Aurora coffee
IAG (International Artist's Guild)
Rocky's Brick Oven
Jave Jive
Burrito Art
Eyedrum
Java Monkey
Other Retail Places
Psycho Sisters clothes
Atlanta Union Mission
Weird Places:
Center for Puppetry Arts
Salvation Army Museum
Arts Exchange
NAACP
Carter Center
King Center
My Mechanic's a Woman
Evening was devoted to my study group. A good discussion, focusing around the Hermit. Two new people showed up, and both seemed to really enjoy it.
